ヒューストン・ダウンタウンの南西部、ミュージアム地域の北側に位置する同店は、1986年創業の老舗日本食レストラン。清潔で広々とした店内の奥には寿司バーが設けられており、常連客が多いことからも質の良さが窺える。メニューは寿司、重箱、定食、ラーメンやうどんなど充実しており、良心的な値段で食べることができる。夜は酒のおつまみになる居酒屋メニューも豊富なので、日本酒やウイスキーと一緒に楽しみたい。この地域ではなかなか味わうことの出来ない本格的な日本の家庭料理を堪能できる。

Opened since 1986, this long-running Japanese restaurant is located in the Southwestern part of downtown Houston. Just by having a large amount of regulars suggests that this is a high quality restaurant. A wide variety of food such as sushi, jubako (food boxes used to serve food on special occasions), teishoku, ramen and udon can all be enjoyed at a reasonable price. At night, there are plenty of appetizers from the izakaya menu that go well with liquor drinks, therefore it is encouraged to enjoy it with sake and whiskey. This certainly is a rare gem in this area as you won’t usually have the chance to taste authentic Japanese home-cooked dishes.
