ローワーイーストをほぼ東西に横切るデランシー・ストリート沿いの角地に、目にも鮮やかな真っ青な旗がはためく手巻きすしのお店。スシサンバ・グラマシーのトップシェフこうじさんが作り出すすしは、トラディショナルでユニーク。ジェントルに巻かれた手巻きすしは、パリパリの海苔と溢れんばかりの具で味のバランスが見事。

メニューは手巻きのコースと、軍艦巻きのコース、自分で手巻きするセットなど色々。海苔は有明のもの、ネタは、本マグロのネギトロ、真鯛、ハマチ、鯖、北海道産のウニなど、すし好きにはたまらない品揃え。醤油やわさび、ガリもこだわり抜いて仕事が施されているのが嬉しい。こうじさんのおまかせコースも見逃せない。

Located in Lower East Side, at a corner of Delancey Street, stands a hand-roll sushi shop with a bright blue flag fluttering on its side. The sushi made by chef Koji from Sushisamba Gramercy is both traditional and unique. The gently made hand-rolled sushi has a wonderful balance of taste among its crispy seaweeds and overflowing ingredients.

Besides the hand-rolls, gunkan (battleship) maki sushi and customizable handrolls are also available on the menu. Chef Koji’s omakase course is especially a must try!

From Pacific bluefin tuna to Hokkaido’s sea urchin; from soy sauce, wasabi and ginger to seaweeds from the Ariake Sea (known for producing the finest quality of seaweed), every ingredients used are carefully picked. Douska offers a fine assortment that will for sure tantalize your appetite.
